Our international research project is entitled: “ Support of the Snoezelen concept and its integration into university education” and is co-funded by Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union. There are three universities from three countries co-operating in the project:
– Slezská Univerzita v Opavě, Czech Republic (Coordinator),
– Akademia Wychowania Fizycznego im. Bronisława Czecha w Krakowie, Poland (Partner).
– Universidad de Lleida, Spain (Partner).

The main objective of the project is to prepare a comprehensive instructional methodology and syllabus of the course “Snoezelen” at an international tertiary-educational level. We aim at creating the university course which will be applicable in an international student mobility. So far there is no such academic course, although Snoezelen-MSE is gaining on popularity worldwide. We believe this blanc should be filled, thus contributing to professional and scientific approach to unique multisensory Snoezelen context.
The main project outputs are:
– publishing a monograph and individual scientific papers dealing with Snoezelen concept and practice
– creating videos and a set od additional case studies as an example of the practical part of the course
– designing the “Snoezelen” course for student mobilities.

In our project we unite: intellectual outputs, transnational project meetings, multiplier events, as well as learning, teaching and training activities.
The project continues for a period of three years: from 09.2020 till 08. 2023. Our cooperation runs smoothly and brings results already. We are, a. o., working together on the monograph, analysing data for the papers and planning for the video instructions. We feel this project is much needed and at the same time very rewarding.
